Hip-hop hasn’t been so kind to New York this year. Between Kendrick calling himself the “King of New York” and then that other rapper making his remarks, the Big Apple kind of got its ass handed back to itself.
It’s all good. Because while other entertainers were enjoying the spotlight, Staten Island native Mack Wilds was in the studio with super producer and record executive SalaAm Remi cookin’ up Mack’s debut album “New York: A Love Story.”
In an interview with Elliot Wilson, SalaAm and Mack talk about their mutual respect for one another, how their musical and business collaboration came about and of course, duck sauce!
