ESPN has just hired Florida Gator’s legend and former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow as an analyst for its SEC Network, which will launch at the beginning of the NCAA football season. This all according to ESPN’s Josh Krulewitz on Twitter:

The announcement may come as a surprise since Tim Tebow has no experience as an analyst, but the former SEC quarterback is more than qualified for the position since he holds a few records at Florida University and the SEC, he is the current all-time leader in both total career touchdowns with 145 and rushing TD’s at 57. During his time playing in the SEC Tebow played four seasons at the university from 2006 to 2009. His stint produced a Heisman Trophy in 2006 and the BCS National Championship in both 2006 and 2008 NCAA seasons.
