“Dreamgirl” and former American Idol contestant Jennifer Hudson is returning to the stage that (regardless of failing to nab the title) catapulted her name into fame. The Grammy- and Oscar-winning singer and actress is scheduled to tape a performance in front of tonight’s audience that will air later on an upcoming segment. It will be the 26-year-old’s first time as a performer on Idol since her mother, brother and 7-year-old nephew were killed in a tragic incident in Chicago last year. Likely singing a song from her self-titled debut CD, GIANT has no doubt she’ll deliver a performance as powerful as her first; watch her audition below.
