To be honest, I had never heard of Swiss watch company Frederique Constant or British car maker Austin Healey until I received a press release about their recent collaboration. This is why I love collabos!
The two luxury lines have teamed for a line of limited edition watches that were inspired by the legendary (now defunct) auto company. After having successfully sponsored a series of Healey-related events, including the Healey Le Mans Challenge in 2006, it only made sense that they would dedicate a timepiece to the carmaker.
The watches have a two-way winding system that is activated by movements of the wrist. The turning rotor is visible through the sapphire glass on the back of the watch. The Geneva certified piece will be accompanied by a miniature Austin Healey car in a luxurious wooden box.
It’s like the best of both worlds… minus the awkward silence and child porn charges.
