    If you are preparing to travel for the summer, it is important to set aside some time to acquaint yourself with the rudiments of the host country’s language.

    Choose not to, and you may be stuck trying to make sense of signs that fall just short of proper English. If you need motivation, or just a little afternoon laugh, the NY Times asked readers to send in photos of the worst translated signage from their travels.
