Bob Marley has officially been names on of the 2010 inductees to the Songwriters Hall of Fame. According to Hip Hop Wired,
The ceremony, which will be held Thursday in New York City, celebrates songwriters, for their accomplishments and for being an inspiration to their fellow colleagues.
“Our 2010 inductees are truly representational of the heart and soul of the world’s Popular Music soundtrack,” Chairman/CEO Hal David said in a statement. “We are looking forward to another memorable evening where we honor their extraordinary accomplishments.”
Marley is infinitely deserving of such an honor, as his music lives on even after his death and remains an iconic part of the World and American music canon.
