Early this year, May 21st was deemed as Judgment Day: the day the world was supposed to end according to Yaweh. While the world was in a frenzy, a collective of creatives from all over the world joined forces in Bangkok to create ” The Last Supper”–Born this way, inspired by the one and only Lady Gaga. Creative Director Ark Saroj asked me to be a part of the last supper and to help style and direct.
The shoot brought together creatives from all over the world who resided in Bangkok. The day the world was supposed to end, we were creating our hearts out. The overriding theme of the shoot “was born this way,” given that Lady Gaga’s album had just dropped. We styled ourselves and created the head gear on the spot. Elle Magazine was there and Bangkok’s V channel documented the process. We gathered round the “The last Supper” to declare that we were born this way, a public demonstration of individualism. The people in attendance were the unexpected, the doubted and, more than often than not, the denied. Yet, we celebrated our differences that day. It was magical.
