Centered around the end of world in New York City, sometime in the future after Aliens have taken over with an invasion and turned planet Earth into a wasteland. If you’ve played the previous Crysis games you know the action takes place during a post-apocalyptic world overrun by aliens better known as the C.E.L.L.
If you’re looking for a game that pushes the boundaries of graphics, Crysis is the game for you. Using the new CryEngine 3, which will also be used on next gen consoles when they are released. Now the question your asking you’re self am I purchasing the game for the looks or the game play , and the answer to that is both. The Crysis series has proved itself as one of the premier first person shooters on the market, going toe-to-toe with any other FPS. Combining both aspects of a top-notch shooter with superior visuals can only lead to great game play.
According to the developers the solo campaign should be about 6 to 7 hours of game play, not much by today’s standards of gaming, but throughout the game play you do experience the CryEngine 3 power, careening through environments like rain forests, day-time action, and night rainfall. However, the real star of Crysis 3 is the Nanosuit, which throughout the game is upgradable.
If not familiar with the Nanosuit (if you never played the game), the suit plays 2 huge elements throughout your journey in Crysis 3. It plays as productive armor and can be used as cloak for stealth attacks. To go along with your armor Crysis provides the gamer with an arsenal of weapons, ranging from the standard Predator Bow along with timed grenades, shotguns, and rocket launchers to name a few.
If you’re looking for a game that pushes the boundary of visuals and new FPS experience Crysis 3 is the game for you.
