On March 16, Jordan Brand will be releasing their Jordan XIII better known as “He Got Game” XIII’s. Made famous back in the 90’s by Miami Heat guard Ray Allen who played the character Jesus Shuttlesworth in the movie “He Got Game”. Originally named the Black Cat (One of MJ’s nicknames) and designed by Nike designer Tinker Hatfield. Hatfield designed the shoe to mimic a Panther, the outsole was inspired by a Panther’s paw and the hologram in back resembled a Panther’s eye.
Originally released way back in 1997, they were one of the last pair released during MJ’s historic career while still in uniform. While two versions of the shoe will be released on Saturday, the “He Got Game” version will be the flagship release this week for Jordan Brand. To no surprise the shoe will be released in limited quantities, so check your local big box stores for availability and check your local mom and pop stores for an early release. A few websites will also get them early but you will be paying a premium price to get them early. Until the release make a final decision checking out the latest mages of the shoe.
