iNotRacist is an innovative social media app created by Caleb McCarthy that let’s you show the world just how colored-friendly you are. Whether you’re opening doors for blacks or adorning your desk with pictures of Sonia Sotomayor, you deserve to get credit for your minority-friendly actions.

If you think this app sounds like a complete joke, you’re right. But you’ve got to admit it would be funny as hell if it really did exist. Check out the Kickstarter-parody campaign below for a few laughs.

Nintendo is the great-grandfather guru of video gaming. Sony is the young upstart with good pedigree in electronics that worked their way into the worldwide gaming consciousness. Microsoft made computer software, not even electronic hardware (that anyone cared about). How could they take on the gaming industry giants and stay alive?

MUST SEE: Xbox One Spec Sheet So Far….

Somehow Microsoft pulled it off. And all they needed was two video game cycles (and a billion in faulty machine costs) to do it. Their XBox 360 gaming console sold even with Sony’s PS3 and Microsoft sat poised to take their first warning shots at their competitors stating how they were gonna take down the heavies and increase their market share with their next major product release.

And then the XBox One press conference happened.

1. No one likes it already

IGN UK polled 76,000 readers on how they felt about the XBox One press conference and the features that were announced. While a small percentage of them were pleased with the announcements 75% of those polled were disappointed. Out of the blocks, Microsoft ought to be concerned.

2. This is the third XBox

The XBox and Xbox 360 were units one and two of Microsoft’s game console releases. XBox One will be the third. Perhaps they’re alluding to the idea that this console will be starting something completely new in the history of gaming and, hopefully, entertainment in general. Or maybe they tried to fix something that wasn’t broken.

Whatever Microsoft’s issue, the basic rules of popular nomenclature state that you don’t call your products something that confounds the populace. In other words, don’t name it something that confuses the folks with money. They will find ways to spend it elsewhere.

3. The only ones cheering at reveal were Microsoft employees

During the press conference for the XBox One there were numerous rounds of cheers and applause for the various features being announced. According to at least a couple members of the press, these cheers were not coming from the press. Piping in applause is for NBC sitcoms. Not video game press conferences.

4. Sony stock went up 10%

Sony, Microsoft’s main competitor after Nintendo, saw their stock prices go up 10% after the XBox One press conference. Though it is being said that the increase was truly due to some changes in Sony’s entertainment division, the timing is…interesting.

5. Steve Ballmer is still Microsoft’s CEO

Steve Ballmer is the current CEO of Microsoft and is worth 15.2 billion by last estimates. He doesn’t need the job for money, but he stays in the chair. For every success he has supervised (XBox 360, Windows XP, Windows 7) he has also been the guy responsible for many failures, especially so since he took over running the company in 2000…and the failures are many. There have been many many many many calls for him to step down in the press, yet still he hangs on. I guess every captain really does want to go down with the ship.

6. Must be connected to internet

Digital Rights Management (DRM) is the buzzword between game developers and gamers. DRM gives game publishers and developers more control over how their product is used by gamers. Gamers, naturally, want to be able to do whatever they want with their games once they buy them. It’s a battle that’s been ongoing since Napster made peer-2-peer the ultimate thorn-in-the-side of the gaming industry.

The latest volley in the DRM battle has been the inclusion of always-online software. That is to say, in order to play a game you must always be online. SimCity by Electronic Arts was recently released to gamers with this DRM attached. The launch was a disaster.

XBox One, in order to ensure that they can use their DRM software (and, maybe, force you to use its online properties) will require you to be connected online at least once every 24 hours. Do you know anyone that will connect and reconnect their XBox One to make sure it works? Of course not. They will plug it in and leave it plugged in. This makes Microsoft happy. Does it please you?

7. TV/TV/TV…

You think you’re getting a videogame console? No, young squire. You’re getting an entertainment hub that is masquerading as a gaming console. A parody of the XBox One press conference illustrates this idea quite humorously.

8. Didn’t pursue nextgen graphics

The XBox One will have excellent graphics that will be a step above what the XBox 360 displayed. However, they will not be equal to the jump between XBox and XBox 360. They said they did this on purpose as they wanted to focus on making the XBox One an entertainment hub for the household. Great. That’s what everyone goes to a video game console for, naturally.

9. No used games??!?

Calm down, this is untrue. You can play used games on the XBox One…so long as you pay the used game fee. And that fee will be equal to the value of the game. What does this mean in practice? Right now, no one knows for sure. What it does mean is that Microsoft wants to charge you more money for the used games you buy at the secondary stores. Not. Fun. Not at all.

10. It’s a Microsoft product

Microsoft loves to screw up a good thing. They had Windows 3.1 and just as it was starting to take hold of the computing market they switched up to the perma-busted Windows ‘95. Just when Windows XP was starting to make Microsoft look legit again they switched up to Windows Vista. And now XBox 360 made them competitive in the gaming market so they’re switching up to the XBox One. Microsoft has made not learning from their mistakes an art form. Hopefully their Windows 8 money will shield them from the backlash. Oh wait, people don’t like Windows 8 either, huh? Oh well. Xbox, go home.

Getting away with murder can be pretty difficult, but one thing’s for sure, your chances of avoiding jail time diminish exponentially when you call the police and tell them of your evil plan. Florida resident Scott Simon learned this first-hand when he accidentally butt-dialed 9-1-1 as he was discussing his plans to follow a man home and kill him.

The 24-year old is now being charged with first-degree murder for the death of 33 year-old Nicholas Walker, who was found shot and killed on I-59. While Simon can be heard on the tape discussing his plans to kill Walker, investigators believe he wasn’t necessarily the man who pulled the trigger. Police are now searching for two suspected accomplices.

Investigators believe the murder plot was sparked from an argument the men had at a local Waffle House. In the words of Rodney King, can’t we all just get along?

While some athletes take their post game interviews very serious, the Cincinnati baseball team found it would be cooler to video bomb each others post game interview in creative ways.

Baseball players are known to do the shaving cream pie to the face or a gatorade bath during interviews but those have been done hundreds of time why mess with the oldies. Back in 1999, a small feud between Tiger Woods and Sergio Garcia developed, and while Tigers career flourished Sergio’s stalled. Fast Forward a week ago the feud heated up again when Sergio hit a pretty bad shot and blamed it on Tiger Woods who was just pulling out his golf clubs, had the crowd in the palm of his hands as they cheered.

Then things got a little weird when Sergio Garcia was asked if he would have dinner with Tiger,  his response ”We will have him round every night, We will serve fried chicken.”. Who doesn’t like fried chicken, but the comment was more racist than comedy, but Sergio wasn’t the first to have racist like comments directed to another athlete . Lets take a look at some past moments involving insensitive comments.

Well, the big K is back at it again. In its latest commercial, customer can’t get over how big the gas savings are for Shop Your Way K-Mart members. Check out the gas — or should we say a** –commercial below.

These days it seems YMCMB is signing any and everybody, 90′s rock bands, non-singers who want to be singers, rappers with buzz from the 90′s, rappers who have gone to jail and socialites who think they have talent of some sorts. If you check their official label page they have well over 30 artists signed to label. But here’s the sad part, with over 30 acts signed to the label we can probably name three of those acts dropping albums. Drake, Nicki Minaj, and the founder himself, Lil Wayne.

With so many artists on the label the question stands do we really want to hear what YMCMB has to offer? Besides the current signings of  Vado, DJ Khaled and Ace Hood the rest of their label mates can be considered cast offs that nobody wants to hear. Here is a list of acts we probably don’t want to hear from the label.

Sergio Garcia is a professional golfer on the US PGA Tour. He is also confoundingly stupid. Though he is a skilled golfer, his game is not what thrust him into the national spotlight. First, it was Sergio’s assertion that Woods had cheated in executing an improper drop on the way to his Players Championships win. Not a big deal, but notable in light of the rules. Good luck getting that enforced though, Sergio. It’s like calling Jordan for a foul because he pushed his defender out of the way en route to hitting a championship winning shot.

The other time Sergio got himself in the new was this past Tuesday night, less than two weeks later. At a European Tour Awards dinner someone asked him if he’d have Tiger over for dinner. That’s when Sergio put his dumbass lips to a microphone and said that he’d serve Tiger some fried chicken. That, to say in short, was a stupid thing to say. To say in long…

1. Everyone loves fried chicken

Fried chicken though heavily attributed to American Blacks is a food dish that originated nearly 1500 years ago. In Europe. Black folks seem to have been heavily linked to the consumption of fried chicken during slavery in the American South starting in the 1700’s. But who knows how that happened? Both whites and blacks in the South are attributed to eating vast quantities of yardbird.

And, if we’re really being honest, American Blacks have a lot of purchasing power, but KFC and Popeye’s ain’t just in the hood. They flourish in the suburbs as well, right next to Taco Bell and Burger King.

2. We already assumed he was a racist

Golf is played on public courses, but it truly thrives in the hands of the wealthy through the country club. Golf is expensive as hell. Keeping acres of land in pristine condition so men and women in pleated slacks and polo shirts can carve it up with metal sticks costs a pretty penny. So do the maintenance fees and membership dues of the best courses.

The country club environment has created a natural barrier to entry for many minorities since membership is privately run and must be approved by the members (read: wealthy white men). So money, alone, doesn’t allow for entrance to the best courses, status factors in as well. And no matter how many well-meaning white folks you have there is always at least one quiet-ass racist waiting to gather their buddies together and down-vote ‘questionable’ membership applications.

Sergio grew up in Spain learning golf from his dad, a club golf pro. He grew up in this sort of environment from the age of 3. Racism may exist in America, but it for damn sure didn’t originate here. And Spain was heavily involved in the slaving and trading of African slaves for centuries. But they were probably very respectful of their slaves though.

3. Racism isn’t in vogue anymore

Lebron James and Kobe Bryant are two of the most famous athletes in the world. Hockey and baseball are mainly white sports and the idea of the ‘All-American’ quarterback still rests with mostly pink faces in the NFL. Yet, in the US and abroad Lebron and Kobe are as well-known as McDonalds and Hollywood.

Black faces are running, dunking, throwing, catching and winning their way into the hearts and minds of white and non-white children everywhere. Hating them for their skin color is just lazy and ignorant, now more than it’s ever been. Nevermind that the President Of The United States is black either. It’s just an antiquated way of thinking ignorant of the socio-economic realities of poor minorities in the US and other countries as well. Racism has no place in intellectual groupthink, even if you have money.

4. Tiger is more Asian than Black

He sure the hell is Asian. His mom is Thai, Chinese and Dutch. His dad is Black, Native American and potentially Chinese. There’s more Asian in Tiger Woods than in a fortune cookie factory. That said, Sergio’s joking assertion that Tiger would like some fried chicken is still mostly correct since Asians and Blacks definitely have that in common. Sergio is still exceedingly stupid though.

5. Sergio wasn’t the first one to say racist stuff about Tiger

Fuzzy Zoeller beat Sergio to the ‘fried chicken’ punch sixteen years ago. Fuzzy was classy enough to include watermelon though since everyone knows you need a fruit or vegetable with your protein. Dick.

Oh, and don’t forget that Golf Channel chick that said Tiger’s competitors should ‘lynch him in a back alley.’ What did Tiger do to deserve all this racially based commenting at his expense? Win a lot. And bang white porn chicks. Maybe you can see their point under those circumstances. Wait, you can’t? Good.

 6. Sergio ain’t on Tiger’s level

In hiphop the old adage is that you don’t diss down, you diss up. That is to say, you go after the ones you can gain recognition through via their acknowledgement. Sergio has won some tournaments, made some money and distinguished himself. But Sergio is not a worldwide brand like Tiger is. Hell, Sergio’s never even held the #1 spot. He got to #2 once, close enough to sniff Tiger’s undercarriage, but only briefly. If he was going to mess with Tiger, he should have poked at his past affairs instead of dredging up some old stuff someone else said.

7. Tiger has more fuel to crush him

Tiger is reknown for two things: his love of slutty white women and his competitive ferocity on the golf course. Where many men and women crack under the pressure of having to escape a bunker shot and salvage par and their tournament position Tiger does is like it’s Tuesday. At every tournament, the story isn’t who could beat Tiger. It’s if Tiger will win. That’s the presence his competitive edge demands.

No one knows what fuels him as he tends to be very tight-lipped about his personal mindset, but don’t think for one second the disdainful or condescending words and attitudes of his fellow competitors won’t end up being fuel to his fire. Bend to his hooks. Fairway shots to his drives. Birdie puts to his championships. Tiger grew up being shunned by people like Sergio. He will never forget.

Sergio, gleefully, looked the lion in the face and threw dirt in his eye. Good luck to him from here on out. Asshole.

The day Xbox fans have been dream about, the announcement of Microsoft’s next gen console.  It was rumored for years that Microsoft would dub the console the Xbox 720, then the name Durango was rumored and more recently Infinity was suppose to be the slated name for the console. Unlike Sony’s PS4 Microsoft has gone out and change the branding and name of console calling it the Xbox One.  Assuming the one in its name means the console will be a one stop shop for all things gaming and media.  Annoucing the console earlier today here are  a few things we knew right now.

Processor:

The Xbox One will plans on using a customized AMD chip that will combine  eight-core CPU, a GPU that is specially made for DirectX 11.1 graphic, combining it with 32 MB of high bandwidth embedded ESRAM memory. With all that power running though the Xbox One Microsoft promised the cooling will be 4x quitter on the next gen console.

System memory:

Where the PS4 beats the Xbox One will be with the system memory.  While the PS4 will be packing a GDDR5, the Xbox One will come stacked with a modest GDDR3..I guess you can say the PS4 won this round.

Storage:

Storage: Out the gate the console will come stacked with 500GB hard drive, a blu-ray DVD combo player . Don’t get too excited about the 500 GB of storage as games will be ripped to the HDD automatically. What does this mean for your old Xbox 360 games only time will tell Microsoft did not go into detail on what happen.  They also didn’t discuss of used games can be sold and purchase for the next gen console.

Connections:

A HDMI 1.4 which will be able to stream live tv, connect  and control devices with Kinect 2.0-detected voice and gesture commands.  More than 2 standard USB ports, according to Mircrosoft there will be a “few” , with no specific number on hand.  There will be 3  802.11n radios that will be able to communicate with the console, word is also the radios will be able to communicate with windows based smartphones and Tablets. And the news Xbox fans feared was an ‘always on’ internet connection to play games, that will not be the case for single player mode games, however to have access to your cloud drive you must use internet.

If you’re anything like Anna Camp in this ridiculous College Humor horror-movie trailer, then you, too suffer from the serious condition of FOMO: Fear of Missing Out. While there’s no known cure (or no real evidence showing this condition exists) you can at least breathe easier knowing you don’t have it this bad…

The not-so-slick culprit was fortunately spared from any serious injuries and even managed to get help from the same woman he robbed only seconds ago. The repeat-offender was taken into custody after leaving the hospital, along with a few of his accomplices.

Sheesh. Let this be a lesson to you folks: look both ways when crossing the street! Oh, and crime doesn’t pay.

A little of ahead of Microsoft’s announcement of the Xbox 720, Sony decided to drop a new video teaser of their next generation console the PS4.  The new trailer seems  to have a fuzzy picture of the new console zooming in and out, enough to let us know it coming but not enough to let us know what the console may look like.

One thing that was promised in the video was the unveiling of the console on June 10 at 6 p.m. Pacific, a day before the gaming  industry’s biggest conference E3.  If you remember Sony announced the PS4 back in February but to the dismay of many fans of the console, Sony never showed the console. Instead they showed off the controller, specs and went into details about games dropping during its launch time this holiday season. Who has the bigger buzz right now, the PS4 or Xbox 720?

The 2012-2013 NBA is coming to an end, and while some NBA players are looking to rest up for the next season and enjoy the summer, for sneakerheads  this just means the next line of sneakers are around the corner.  And Lebron James right hand man Maverick Carter devlivered  christmas a little early for eager sneaker fans of Lebron James. Maverick posted a sneak peak of the LBJ XI sneaker via his Instagram account.

While  Nike or Lebron haven’t formally announced the shoe, don’t look for these to hit store shelves anytime soon since the LBJ XI are still in it’s prototype stage and could see some changes before its released sometime in the fall. For now we have to enjoy the picture provided by Maverick Carter.   Are we fans of the Lebron XI or is it too early to tell?
